Winter Fest Coasting Party & Pub Night
The popular coasting party will be held on Saturday, February 18th on the hill behind the Fire Hall. Kids of all ages are invited to make the trek up the big hill for some of the best coasting the winter has to offer. There will be snacks, juice and hot chocolate in the fire hall during and after the coasting party. There will also be a movie for the kids shown after the busy day of coasting (after 3pm). Adults can come out to socialize in the evening for a pub night featuring Pub Trivia and an Open Mic/ Kitchen Party- anyone wishing to sing, tell a story or play an instrument is invited to do so.
Any member of the community wishing to contribute a plate of cookies or cheese & crackers to the coasting party is invited to do so & thank you in advance for your contribution!

Solar Coop Information Session
ACE Co-op of Antigonish will hold an information session at the Fire Hall in Scotsville on Thursday, Feb. 23rd at 7pm. This is the information session that was cancelled due to weather in December. By making your purchase through the Antigonish Community Energy Coop, you can save on your solar system. ACE will set up homeowners with a free solar assessment to determine the cost and benefit of switching your home to a solar system. ACE is currently offering their SECOND group- buy for solar installment. ACE has helped homeowners in our local area (Margaree, Skye Glen, etc…) to successfully install solar panels through their first solar group- buy in 2016. For more information please check out: www.acecoop.ca or look for Antigonish Community Energy Coop on Facebook.
