LADA Housing Project Presentation
LADA held its Annual General Meeting on Monday, May 29th at the Fire Hall. The main project LADA was involved in during 2016 was the trail building project. One of the main priorities going forward is continuing to work on the senior housing committee. The senior housing committee has been making progress on the plans to create senior housing in the community.
An important community update meeting will be held in early July. LADA will share the progress on the senior housing project and seek input and involvement. All interested community members are encouraged to attend and become involved in ongoing LADA projects. The meeting will be held in early to mid July. Watch for more details in the weeks to come.

Trail Committee seeks volunteers
The trail committee continues to work to make local trails accessible to the community. The committee will hold a meeting in June for anyone interested in helping with some upcoming ‘hands on’ projects relating to the trail. The work to be done includes: physical work on the trails, limbing trees and adding signage, working on developing a map of the trails, naming parts of the trail, and deciding where to place rest stops and benches. There is currently some ongoing work around the MacDonald House Museum to complete walking trails near the MacDonald House site.
If you are interested in getting involved in the ongoing support and maintenance of the trails, please attend the committee meeting on Tuesday, June 20th at 7:30pm at the Fire Hall for more details. All ages and abilities welcome.
